Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring all agreed brand priorities, levels of investment, volume and profit goals by region/brand
Drive the development process of the in market experiences through the management/influencing of internal and external resources.
Share intelligence with marketing and commercial departments to support world class development.
Provide input to assist in the development of activity cycle planning.
Interpret and analyse information in respect of customer account, consumer, competitor activity and opportunities for brand development
Understand industry, customer and consumer profiles through regular market visits, attending consumer/brand feedback sessions, etc
Establish mutually beneficial annual business plans with customers based on the agreed brand and channel strategy.
Conduct brand immersion and education to bar staff, consumers as well as internal staff and any person that would be able to contribute to the strategy and brand plans
Identify, manage and brilliantly execute brand events and media exposure opportunities.
One-on-one contact with targeted consumers to fulfil the following objectives
Development, growth and furtherance of Key Brand Projects, i.e. Key Cities and Spiritual Home, etc.
Manage the respective trade budget and ensure that all activies fall within the budget and relate to the performance goals of the business and brands.
Collaboration with the Brand Manager to develop campaigns that will create memorable moments and drive consumer demand and brand loyalty.
Develop points of entry for outlets outside of route to consumer, Rugby Clubs, Fishing clubs, sports clubs.
Brand education/induction for traders to be implemented regularly
Attendance at and management of Brand specific Consumer events
Monthly competitor activity report back to Trade Marketing Manager, Commercial and marketing teams.
Monthly reporting on brand activities, activity grids and the ROI of activities
Driving sales through helping the Commercial team by training bar management/staff on cocktails and brand/product knowledge.
Assist the commercial on-trade team win pouring rights for cocktails and spirit brands by owning the drinks menu and by development of staff loyalty program.
Reflect brand style and be the public face of the brand. Support the commercial team and 3rd Party PR teams with execution of programs, promotions and events requiring extraordinary knowledge.Appropriate tertiary qualification
Honours' Degree would be advantageous but not a must
Exposure across different channels and different levels of customer channels (e.g. National Accounts; Field sales; On-trade/Off trade)
Understanding the South African Alcohol Beverage Market
Budgetary and cost containment experience
Event management/customer and consumer interaction experience
Research interpretation, tools and usage
Competitive analysis
Consumer insight and understanding
Influencing skills, with a level of comfort in working across levels and functions within the organization.
Develops compelling, commercially viable customer plans with innovative thinking
Sells ideas and concepts to external and internal stakeholders in the developmental stage
