The Division for Student Development and Support (SDS), at the University of the Western Cape, plays a leading role in creating a holistically focused, enabling environment and provides excellent opportunities for students to develop to their full potential as active scholars and responsive citizens in South Africa.


Applications for the post of Coordinator: Placement, in the Residential Services department, are invited from dynamic and vibrant individuals with demonstrated student housing experience within a tertiary institution, who have a quest for constant self-improvement and development and the growth, development and support of others.


Purpose of the Job

  • Coordinate the entire student placement process on the RSMS and team of placement officers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Readmission Placement Policy.
  • Ensure strict monitoring of the process and evaluation of the process cycle annually.
  • Report on progress to the Manager: Placement during peak times on weekly basis.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders regarding placement strategies within the institution.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator: Private Accommodation pertaining to movement of students.

Minimum Requirements

  • Senior Certificate
  • Administration Degree or Advance Administration Diploma (NQF 7)
  • 5 years relevant demonstrated working experience on IT automated system.
