Minimum Requirements:

Medical Degree and Business Qualification at NQF level 9

10 years' experience in running Operations.
***:

Experience within a Medical Scheme environment will be an added advantage.
***:

A proven track record of leading large-scale Operations function
***:
-
Physician Relationship Management and Clinical Risk Management
***
Role outputs include the following:***-
Provide Operations strategic insights to shape the Scheme strategy
***:
-
Pro-actively provide data insights to Strategy that impact the strategic direction of the Scheme
***:
-
Provide operational insights to ensure alignment with Regulatory/ Legal requirements
***:
-
Ensure that the Scheme rules remain relevant and enabling to the Scheme strategy
***:
-
Contribute to the development and achievement of Scheme's overall strategy.
***:
-
Strategic leadership of the Operations Department
***:
-
Provide visionary leadership to the overall Operations and Administration Units, ensuring that all Divisions reporting to this role operate efficiently, enabling achievement of the Scheme's strategic objectives.
***:
-
Oversee Operations and Administration of the Scheme in an innovative and cost effective manner.
***:
-
Provide direct leadership support to the Principal Officer with particular emphasis on achieving business efficiencies and savings, while improving productivity within all aspects of operations, including financial and healthcare performance.
***:

Identify and manage strategic projects related to the Operations Department.
***:
-
Develop and Monitor the execution of the Operations strategy.
***:
-
Manage and oversee the Department's operational budget.
***:
-
Ensure proper governance and risk management for the Department
***:
-
Measure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of processes for Operations and identify and implement ways to improve processes whilst ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and mitigating risks.

Responsible for ensuring collaboration with relevant Governance structures, including BoT and its sub committees.
