Key Performance Area:


  • Responsible for the direct and/or indirect nursing care of patient or group of patients.
  • Participate in ward/units quality improvement programmes.
  • Promote good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.
  • Provide and supervise the delivery of evidence based nursing care.
  • Ensure all patients have an appropriate nursing care plan.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
  • Qualification as a Registered Nurse.
  • 12 months post basic qualification in Critical Care (essential)
  • Experience of at least 2 years in ICU (trained).
