Key performance areas:

  • Maintain internal control over Financial Reporting environment
  • Project management business process flow updates including performing financial risk assessments and designing new or updates to internal control environments
  • Review the execution of controls on a periodic basis and support the timely remediation of control deficiencies Collaborate with stakeholders in all entities to promote a culture of control compliance throughout the company
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement changes to address these e.g. introduce new technologies and staying abreast of any changes in legislation
  • Ensure a consistent financial risk management approach across all functions by performing regular financial risk reviews.
  • Continuously look for improvements in operational processes, policies and procedures and lead process optimization, continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
  • Responsible for ABC (Antibribery & Corruption) Reporting and monitoring compliance.
  • Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organisation, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
  • Coordinate and review the insurance questionnaire process that support the insurance cover taken by Group Provide central support for all insurance claims and maintain records of insurance policies and claims
  • Define key business process, risk and controls/business intervention that addresses risks
  • Create a policy framework guideline in line with Group requirements, reviews policies annually for relevance, risk mitigation and recommends to policy owner
  • Provides oversight and guidance by setting the standards of business control across functional areas through understanding business process and linking controls to risk identified in key business processes
  • Design and implement processes to verify effectiveness of the controls across all sites Performs gap analysis, action plan and guides implementation of FCFQ requirements Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company Leads governance role in new system implementation within ISSA
  • Followup Internal Control Processes in the entity (Documentation of financial and operational processes, identification of risks in such processes, walkthrough and testing of controls, etc.).
  • Implementation and followup of action plans to mitigate risks and address findings from audits and internal testing. Management of compliance requirements in coordination with concerned departments (especially finance, marketing, operations) and thirdparties
  • Keeping uptodate with regulations, inform the business of changes when relevant and respond accordingly. Conduct risk assessment of all departments
  • Evaluate compliance with existing policies and procedures, identifying and proposing modifications as needed
  • Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and engage in continuous education and staff development re best practices
  • Develop the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy, systems and standards in conjunction with the Financial Director, aligned with the strategy and objectives
  • Establish, embed and continuously improve the ERM process through the necessary communication, guidance and collaboration with business stakeholders
Minimum specifications / requirement areas

  • A qualified CA
  • More than 5 years' experience post articles
years' experience in an operational, financial or commercial role, risk management experience advantageous

  • Experience in Consumer Products or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment will be an added advantage
