- Plan daily routes for in-house and outsourced vehicles to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and secure return loads from daily destinations to optimize fleet utilization.
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance to determine most economical routes and schedules for drivers.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and prevent wear and tear.
- Schedule and authorize maintenance, repairs, and tire replacements for the fleet.
- Monitor driver behavior and take corrective action to prevent abuse and optimize fuel efficiency.
- Track and analyze fleet diesel consumption to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead weekly team meetings to discuss best practices, address concerns, and motivate team members.
- Communicate with customers and drivers to resolve delivery issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Audit driver and team incentives to ensure fairness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure seamless shipment coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Utilize strong managerial skills to make informed decisions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure financial accountability.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Utilize technical skills to analyze data and drive business decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Take ownership of the position and drive results through dedication and hard work.
- Be available on standby to support drivers and respond to emergencies.
- Present regular reports to senior management to ensure transparency and accountability.
