Sales Development Representative (SDR)


Position Overview:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a crucial role in driving the sales pipeline and revenue growth for the company.

You will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting outreach, and setting up meetings or demos for the sales team.

Your goal will be to identify potential customers, generate interest in our products or services, and facilitate the initial stages of the sales process.


Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation

Conduct research and identify potential leads and target accounts through various channels, including online sources, social media, industry directories, and events

Qualify leads based on defined criteria, ensuring alignment with the company's ideal customer profile

Outreach and Relationship Building

Clearly articulate the value proposition of the company's products or services to prospects

Build rapport and establish relationships with potential customers by understanding their needs and challenges

Lead Qualification and Nurturing

Conduct in-depth discussions with leads to assess their fit, needs, and buying potential

Use active listening and probing techniques to uncover pain points and gather relevant information

Qualify leads based on established criteria, and determine the appropriate next steps in the sales process

Appointment Setting and Demo Scheduling

Collaborate with the sales team to schedule meetings, product demonstrations, or discovery calls with qualified prospects

Provide necessary information and context to the sales team to ensure successful follow-up and engagement

Database and CRM Management

Accurately and diligently enter and maintain lead information and interactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system

Regularly update lead status, track progress, and ensure data integrity

Collaboration and Reporting

Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align on goals, strategies, and messaging

Provide regular updates on activities, prospect status, and results through reports and team meetings

Share insights and feedback from prospect interactions to continuously improve sales strategies and messaging


Skills/Experience Required
Own transport essential

IT Service Management knowledge, ideal

Previous knowledge in Technology sales Managed Services, Education and Consulting services would be ideal

Solution Sales orientated.

Practical understanding of IT Operations

Strong business development background with proven record

Strong effective communicator

Ability to prioritize.

Excellent communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills

Industry and market knowledge
