A well-established company within the Paper and Packaging industry is seeking a Group Safety Manager to join their team in JHB East.
This will be a permanent requirement.The Key Responsibilities for this Role Include
- Safety Management along with Fire Management
- Consulting with Management, developing the risk management policy for the Group
- Develop and roll out risk management methodologies
- Group risk frameworks
- Ensure everything is inline with ISO 31000 guidelines
- Insurance Audits
- Ensure Permits are in place
- Investigations into incidents and remedial measurements
- Change Management, Project Management and System Implementations
Qualification
- Degree in Risk Management, Operations, or related field
- SAMTRAC Certification
- Relevant ISO Certification
- Project Management Certification (advantageous)
Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a senior Safety Manager within a Warehouse / Plant environment
- Must be able to manage multiple sites
- Risk Management, SHEQ / OHS exposure
- Internal audit experience
- Fire Protection / Fire Risk experience
- Experience with insurance and claims / Insurance audits
- Warehouse and Operations Management
- Must be willing to travel nationally and engage with various sites
