    Description
    1. Understanding and operating company quoting systems and other travel-related programs
    2. Have good product knowledge and sound geographical knowledge of Southern and East Africa
    3. Time management: ability to prioritise, plan and meet deadlines
    4. Effective communication – internally as well as externally
    5. Be professional and offer high service levels at all times
    6. Ability to handle pressure and volume – multitasking
    7. Emergency phone duty
    8. Do various quotations for agents
    9. Do product development
    10. Obtain and where possible negotiate rates
    11. Ensure these rates are sent to be loaded in the operating system
    12. Use preferred suppliers
    13. Ensure get to visit the preferred suppliers and get to know the products
    14. Put in place and manage provisional bookings
    15. Create MICE suitable offer layout
    16. Create MICE suitable text templates for hotels and excursions
    17. Create MICE budget template
    18. Be on the lookout for unique MICE experiences in Southern Africa
    19. On the ground assistance when MICE project is running
    20. Run all aspects of tours within budget
    21. Produce guide manuals and ensure a smooth operation of the tour
    22. Ensure agent's information and tour information correspond
    23. Assist with the handling of complaints by gathering feedback from suppliers, guides, etc.
    24. Assist with management and training of junior consultants
    25. Be on constant look out for new venues and activities – advise team & rest of office
    26. Take responsibility for all aspects of tours being run
    27. Doing necessary admin in order for the Accounts department to do their part on your tours
    28. Meet given targets
    29. Any other reasonable work-related assignments being given to you by you direct, or another manager
    30. Create invoices for agents and keep track of payment of the tour
    31. Proofreading marketing materials sent by the agent for promotion of the tour
    32. Double check guides booked for the tour
    33. Request sales updates on groups from agents, get the final booking numbers and ensure we have all information to run the tour
