Description

Maintainance Technician with pool maintainance skills required for this iconic wine estate. MUST have relevant experience and skills required.
We are looking for a pro active assistent Maintenance technician with a non negotiable skillset to take care of infrastructure (e.g. buildings, electricity.) You will assist and manage, plan various renovation and repair projects as per operational requirements.

In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and water systems is essential. Pool maintance experience is a must for this role. If you're also committed to meeting health and safety standards, we'd like to meet you.

Your goal will be to ensure our premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike.

Responsibilities:

Inspect all allocated areas of estate regularly to ensure it meets safety standards,
Arrange for routine maintenance in in all areas of operations and facilities (e.g. kitchens, outside recreational areas)
Organizeand excecute all repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
Plan and excecute renovations and construction as per your work consignments and job cards
Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy

Requirements and skills

Proven experience in a maintainance role minimum of 5 years
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus
Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly
Problemsolving aptitude
