Job Advert Summary:


  • Lead and manage the planning, execution and delivery of capital
  • Assemble, lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in the course of the project delivery

Minimum Requirements:


  • BTech or BEng Engineering (NQF Level 8)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant project management certification
  • Business Management certification advantageous
  • Three years project management experience
  • Five years operational plant experience
  • Relevant OSH Act knowledge and experience

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Take a project from the Conceptual Stage through to Closeout Stage in line with the PPC Stage-Gate Model
  • Conduct project feasibility
  • Conduct project
  • Setup the project systems, tools, and resources at the start of a project implementation
  • Develop and manage the project scope, budget, and
  • Manage the project quality and
  • Identify and manage project

post-mortem and compile lessons

  • Identify all Project Stakeholders and manage their
  • Liaise with Stakeholders on matters affecting their areas of
  • Ensure that the Project Sponsor and Project Customer are kept appraised on the progress at all
  • Escalate nonresolved issues following unsuccessful interventions to Project Sponsor or Owner
  • Ensure effective Project Communication
  • Provide frequent project reporting and updates to the
  • Ensure adherence to the PMO projects policy, guidance, and
  • Adhere to governance structures during the
  • Contribute to the development of the PPC project
  • Define the structure of the project and allocate resources
  • Manage the performance of project team members through a matrix reporting structure and monitors adherence to expected standards.
  • Offer guidance and support and if required take appropriate disciplinary
  • Coach and train project team members to perform optimally in their
  • Give feedback to project team
  • Participate in the nomination and selection of project team members, and
  • Support the onboarding of new project team
