Job Advert Summary:
- Lead and manage the planning, execution and delivery of capital
- Assemble, lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in the course of the project delivery
- Manage all stakeholder communications and reporting on the project
- Manage the business environment within which the project needs to be executed
Minimum Requirements:
- BTech or BEng Engineering (NQF Level 8)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant project management certification
- Business Management certification advantageous
- Three years project management experience
- Five years operational plant experience
- Relevant OSH Act knowledge and experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take a project from the Conceptual Stage through to Closeout Stage in line with the PPC Stage-Gate Model
- Conduct project feasibility
- Conduct project
- Setup the project systems, tools, and resources at the start of a project implementation
- Develop and manage the project scope, budget, and
- Manage the project quality and
- Identify and manage project

- Identify all Project Stakeholders and manage their
- Liaise with Stakeholders on matters affecting their areas of
- Ensure that the Project Sponsor and Project Customer are kept appraised on the progress at all
- Escalate nonresolved issues following unsuccessful interventions to Project Sponsor or Owner
- Ensure effective Project Communication
- Provide frequent project reporting and updates to the
- Ensure adherence to the PMO projects policy, guidance, and
- Adhere to governance structures during the
- Contribute to the development of the PPC project
- Define the structure of the project and allocate resources
- Manage the performance of project team members through a matrix reporting structure and monitors adherence to expected standards.
- Offer guidance and support and if required take appropriate disciplinary
- Coach and train project team members to perform optimally in their
- Give feedback to project team
- Participate in the nomination and selection of project team members, and
- Support the onboarding of new project team
- Conduct regular meetings and promote open and ongoing communication with the project
- Hand over people resources at the end of the project.
