Responsibilities:


Machine operation

  • Checked & report deviation damage and foreign objects
  • Checked pallets for damage, hygiene and infestation
  • Reported damaged pallets to Forklift Driver
  • Covered pallets with top cover to prevent damage and moisture
  • Checked for damaged products
  • Change overs according to procedures
  • Change wrapping rolls when empty
  • Ensure that the computer and printer are working before the beginning of the shift.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient wrapping plastic, printing paper before the beginning of the shift.
  • Check if all the wrapping machines are working order with correct settings.
  • Ensure that you secure the film prior wrapping at the bottom of the pallet.
  • Shrink wrap all pallets from bottom to top and inspect after then wrapping machine has stopped.
  • Collect and scan all raw material sheets from the forklift drivers as they bring the material through to production.
  • Record all shrink wrapped product and insert a product sheet on every pallet.
  • You will be allocated by your supervisor perform other tasks from time to time

Housekeeping

  • Continuously cleaned and swept working area
  • Maintained health and safety standards
  • Maintained food safety standards
  • Ensure safety gear (PPE) are worn

Relief

  • Assist when colleagues are absent from workstation

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Minimum: Grade 12
