    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    The core purpose of this job is to enable the HR department and the institution to improve effectiveness by generating insights about the future of the workforce, HR strategies and policies through accurate, relevant, and high-quality people data analysis and reporting.

    The incumbent is also responsible for analysing opportunities for improvement, maintaining best practice in people systems and data and identifying possible options that may be implemented to leverage technology in support of the HR digitisation strategy.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Data analysis, reporting and integration to support the generation of insights from data including the implementation of standard reporting processes aligned with institutional requirements and statutory reporting requirements.
    • Define, develop, and maintain HR metrics aligned to the strategic objectives of the HR division.
    • Provide detailed analysis, identify trends and insights using data and effective visualisations including dashboards ensuring suitable formats for different audiences.
    • Data integrity management and audits to ensure the accuracy of the system data.
    • Operational effectiveness for HR systems.
    • Manage HR website and portals.
    • Perform all administrative tasks within the scope of this job.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Relevant M+3 qualification in relevant field (e.g Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or HR).

    5 years relevant experience of which 3 years is in management information systems and data analysis in a HR context. In addition to the above requirements, candidates who possess the specifications below will have an added advantage:

    • Knowledge of collaborate technologies that facilitate knowledge management
    • Ability to design and develop technical solutions that meet business requirements
    • Some development experience would be advantageous but not essential

    SCREENING QUESTIONS

    1. Do you have an M+3 Degree or Diploma (NQF 6) Degree in e.g Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, HR or in a quantitative field).

    2. Do you have 3 years experience as a data analyst within a HR environment?

    3. Are you proficient in MS Office products, in particular advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, vLookup and graphs?
