Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a BSc Chemical Engineering
Previous Chemical Plant Operations experience is a prerequisite
810 Years prior Senior Management and Engineering experience will be required
Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities
Must be able to manage, coach and mentor a diverse work force
Experience with and knowledge of relevant unions are important
Must be able to interact effectively with other departments, suppliers and services
Providing reliable and costeffective operational supply solutions to each Business Unit.
Ensuring that all Operations meet legislative compliance requirements.
Ensuring the integrity of the company assets is managed and maintained.
Ensuring all operations are conducted according to accepted standards.
Minimizing plant downtime.
Complying with all statutory maintenance and inspection requirements at all times
Manage the Operational requirements across all Industrial Chemical plants in various geographic locations.
Managing various growth and sustainability projects along with major plant turnaround projects at scheduled intervals.
Compiling and administering annual department operational and capital budgets and ensuring adherence with the budget plan.
Ensuring that all critical and statutory documentation are managed, up to date and readily accessible.
Contributing to strategic direction of the division.
Ensuring strategy execution within the operational envelope.
Providing leadership and direction to the team to drive a highperformance culture.
