Job Description:


  • As the Supply Chain Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for a range of general duties being performed in receiving, warehouse, picking, packing and dispatch in order to effectively provide a service offering a delivery to an end user. Below are some critical functions you will be required to carry out.
  • Liaise with suppliers, internal customers, colleagues and supervisors to ensure a suitable supply management processes.
  • Collate materials requested and manage logistics around that process.
  • Ensures operational efficiency through effective scheduling, receiving, storage, issuing and Materials Handling processes.
  • Verifies quality, condition and correctness of measure of all material received stores and dispatched goods.
  • Interacts effectively with customers and Supply Chain colleagues.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with:
  • Logistics Specialist: Supply Chain Officer/ Supply Chain Supervisor:
  • Colleagues at the HOP and at the Distribution Centre ("DC")
  • Customers (End users)
  • Suppliers
  • Buying Department
  • Ensure SAP System integrity.
  • Ensures accurate date input into the SAP system.
  • Handles material in safe manner.
  • Operates all equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly.

This role is in the Supply Chain department at a Band C2 level reporting to the Site Supply Chain Officer.

  • Qualifications
  • Matric / Grade 1
  • Relevant Materials Management / Logistics / Supply Chain qualification at degree or national diploma level (Advantageous)
  • Forklift license
  • Valid driver's license

Experience:


  • Proven track record in SAP Material Management (SAP MM)
  • At least 23 years' experience within a materials management in mining (advantageous)
  • Logistics Knowledge
  • Basic business and commercial knowledge
  • Time management skills
  • Communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic negotiation skills
  • Must be prepared to work & travel to multiple stores
  • Good command of the English language
  • Must be prepared to work & travel to multiple stores
within Mokopane
