DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Installation and Commissioning:

• Install and commission Battery Energy Storage Systems according to design specifications and project requirements.
• Connect and integrate BESS components, including batteries, inverters, controllers, and monitoring systems.

1. Maintenance and Monitoring:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of BESS.
• Monitor system parameters, analyze performance data, and identify potential issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance measures to avoid downtime and maximize system reliability.
• Ensure performance is aligned to use case of BESS system.

1. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with BESS components and systems.
• Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components, ensuring minimal system downtime.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve complex problems.

1. Testing and Validation:

• Conduct performance tests on BESS to verify compliance with specifications.
• Validate system functionality and efficiency, making adjustments as needed.

1. Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of installation, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Create reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions for internal and external stakeholders.

1. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (OHSA Act 85 of 1993).

1. Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to other technicians or relevant personnel.
• Assist in the development of training materials and documentation.

1. Customer Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients on BESS operation and maintenance.
