They are seeking Composite Technicians to join their team.

Job Title: Junior Composite Technician

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Job Type: On-site

Salary: Market Related

Responsibilities:

1. Assist senior technicians in the manufacturing of composite components according to established procedures and specifications.
2. Prepare composite materials by cutting, laying up, and curing fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composite materials.
3. Operate machinery and equipment such as autoclaves, vacuum pumps, and cutting tools in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of materials and equipment.
6. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
7. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer science and physics, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing technology, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or related.
3. Experience in composites is beneficial but not necessary.
4. Basic understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
7. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
9. Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
