Description

Purpose:

The incumbent is responsible to assist the Maintenance Foreman with daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure plant availability and reduce deterioration.

Assist with all site maintenance and be pro-active. Keep safety file up to date at all times; perform inspections to comply with safety procedures and tracking chart. Assist Maintenance foreman with all projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 1
Code B License would be advantageous
Boiler operators certificate

years' experience in maintenance

Electrical experience would be an advantage
Have a technical aptitude

Skills Required:

Must have a handson approach as well as technical skills and abilities
Must be selfmotivated, innovative, energetic and selfdriven
Digger loader or forklift driving experience

Job Summary:

Ensure routine and preventative maintenance is done on equipment effluent lines and general site maintenance
Responsible to ensure that routine testing of water and effluent samples are done timeously
Ensure water readings are done monthly and record therefore is kept
To act as standby Boiler Operator as and when required
Form part of the safety team and conduct safety inspections
Form part of the fire team
Ensure stock levels are maintained
Assist adhoc duties as an when required
