People Partner - Durban, South Africa - Huntswood
Description
Role Purpose:
The People Partner will be responsible for providing HR support to our contact centre operations, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
This person will play a critical role in supporting our team members, promoting a positive work culture, and ensuring that our people have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
Role Description
External Relationship Management
- Development and hands on management of Client / Huntswood relationships ensuring Client expectations are continuously exceeded.
Internal Relationship Management
- Fostering of ongoing and productive communication across all Huntswood business units
- Partnering with Client and Operational Leads, to ensure alignment in terms of Client expectation and HR support.
Governance
- Continuous review of policy, processes, and efficiencies within the People space.
- Ensuring all internal policies with regards to Human Resources are in line with risk and statutory compliance
People Management
- Management of People Support Specialists within the People Team
Continuous Improvement
- Creating policies and procedures that serves as a foundation for the People Team
- Create opportunities for upskilling and growth within the People Team
- Research and insights on Global trends in Human Resources
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to our contact centre operations, providing HR support and guidance to managers and team members.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Partner with the recruitment in ensuring risk and compliance in the recruitment phase.
- Prepares Offer letters and employment contracts for new employees.
- Supports with Onboarding for all new employees in the business.
- Manages and processes all HR functions for an employee that is related to starters, leavers, movers, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports as needed.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and help create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Initiates employee engagement activities in the business.
- ADHOC People projects
Requirements:
***- Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a contact centre or BPO environment
- Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations in South Africa
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
