Job Purpose:
The Medical Copywriter is responsible for research, development, and implementation of all marketing medical copywriting. The position collaborates with the departments of Regulatory, Quality, Legal, Marketing, Sales, corporate communications, and internal communications divisions of Cipla SAGA region to create a content repository by therapeutic category and by focus brand to provide readily approved content for usage across all channels and all mediums
Key Accountabilities (1/4):
Deliver a content repository by business unit, by therapeutic category and by focus brand.
- Garner and synthesise all medical related content for identified therapeutic areas and focus brands.
- Implement approved templates to standardise the journalistic style and format of common content e.g., E-Detailers.
- Management of the appropriate content per template
- Deliver required content as per brief for routing through sign off process and execute necessary changes
Key Accountabilities (2/4):
Establish and maintain the business process and rules for the continual updating of the Content Repository (excluding packaging)
- Responsible for the last line of signoff for all medical related copy for marketing and comms collateral
- Custodian of the content repository and templatised content in alignment with regulatory and governance requirements
Key Accountabilities (3/4):
Research relevant Pharma sector topics for key customer segments
- Custodian of thoughtleadership content on sectorrelated topics for publication across multiple channels e.g., LinkedIn, Website, CEP
- Facilitate collaboration with the incumbent partners (agencies and freelancers) to document the Cipla Brand Journalistic styleguide
- Lead collaboration meetings with marketing teams to create compelling benefitled customer communications (for B2B, B2B2C distribution)
Key Accountabilities (4/4):
Write the medical-related content required for the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP)
Manage relationship with existing content providers e.g., Denova Medical and Freelance writers to curate and, where necessary, write all and any content required for CEP.
Education Qualification:
- BSC or related biomedical field degree
Relevant Work Experience:
- At minimum of 5 years' experience as a respected creator of health or medical related content
- Minimum 2 years work experience creating compelling messages in B2B writing essential
- Minimum 3 years work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven understanding of clinical data
- Exceptional writing skills are mandatory
- Proven knowledge of the B2B, B2C, B2B2C environments
Relevant Skills:
- Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English (or primary customer) language
- Proven B2B writing skills with associated Business Acumen
- Training in translating clinical studies into multichannel content stories
- Skill at both longform content creation and realtime (shortform) content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
- The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the customer needs to know and how they want to consume the information
- Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content pieces
- Attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Solid experience in managing multiple stakeholders
