Job Description:


Responsibilities:


  • Reporting
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly OHS reporting;
  • Complete OHS audit reports;
  • Annual Sustainability reporting;
  • Reviewing and updating of Emergency Action Plans.
  • Record keeping
  • Maintain Contractor and Service Provider's safety files and all associated documents;
  • Minutes of quarterly OHS Committee Meetings;
  • OHS Representatives register maintenance;
  • Coordination of sustainability records.
  • Audits and Risk Assessments
  • Biweekly OHS audits on OUT Campus and surrounding offices;
  • Audits of first aid equipment including ordering and replenishing thereof;
  • Assist with regional audits;
  • Risk/Hazard assessments on incidents reported;
  • Risk/Hazard assessments prior to company events;
  • Assist with ongoing injuries on duty reported;
  • Audits on OHS Legislation compliance.
  • Training
  • OHS training session preparation;
  • Induction presentations (if and when required)
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and assist OHS Officer to communicate such information to all stakeholders.
  • OHS Management
  • Representative Management
  • Events Health and Safety Coordination
  • Contractor Health and Safety File/Site Audits
  • Service Provider Management
  • Incident Management
  • Other OHS Tasks and projects

This may include but are not limited to:

  • Policy Reviews
  • Ad hoc OHS Gap analyses
  • Evacuation drills and assessments
  • Providing input into the Business Continuity Plans and reviews thereof
  • Combined assurance activities with other assurance providers.

Qualifications:


  • First aid;
  • Firefighting;
  • Evacuation;
  • OHS; and
  • Incident Investigator.
  • Certification in the below will be an advantage:
  • Facilitator; and
  • Assessor

Minimum Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in OHS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • The successful applicant will be required to travel to various local regional offices in Gauteng and across South Africa; a valid driver's licence and own transport is therefore
