Insure, Operations area (Specialist Claims Services). We are looking to recruit a
Claims Reporting Support Specialist.


Role Objectives
Create operational efficiencies in utilization of management information systems, data management and reporting. Collate statistical information for binders and business in support of Claims Reporting Manager and Power 5 Motor Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create operational efficiencies in utilization of management information systems, data management and reporting.
  • Collate statistical information for binders and business in support of Claims Reporting Manager and Power 5 Motor Manager
  • Collate statistical information reporting formats and dashboards in support of Claims Reporting Manager
  • Support function for Claims Reporting Manager to build and enhance data input models and controls for both on and off platform business
  • Creates new processes and templates for data collection and storage where required
  • Support Claims Reporting Manager to translate complex data and/or instructions into meaningful outcomes
  • Support Claims Reporting Manager to interpret data and provide meaningful recommendations to the business
  • Support Claims Reporting Manager to Collate statistical information
  • Claims Dashboard Support Steward to enhance and optimize Claims Dashboard for effective and efficient claims tracking, monitoring and decision making
  • Claims Cause Code Support Steward to ensure claims cause code framework supports effective reporting, monitoring and tracking of data
  • Support for MIS reporting ensuring that they are done accurately and in a timeous manner in support for Claims Reporting Manager
  • Perform complex data analysis in support of adhoc requests working together with Claims Reporting Manager
  • Collating of quarterly Exco packs where required
  • Assist Claims Reporting Manager in developing methodologies and methods for analysing and presenting data
  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data for binder brokers in support of Power 5 Loss Ratio initiative for Hollard Insure and supporting Claims Reporting Manager in weekly, monthly broker visits, binder broker packs with specific broker reporting templates
  • Monthly Binder Reports in preparation of Power 5 Steerco
  • Reviewing data input controls and, if needed, present data input control improvements systemic improvement opportunities
  • Use data mining tools to identify patterns in the data
  • Enhance existing databases.
  • Collate statistical information where required in support of Claims Reporting Manager from various sources / systems / databases
  • Identify opportunities for improved business performance based on information and report this to Claims Reporting Manager
  • Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization,
  • Maintain broad product knowledge to effectively draft reports where required
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and exceeded.
  • Good relationships with team members and the willingness to assist colleagues
  • Support effective teamwork
  • Actively live the Hollard Insure values

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • Data reporting and data visualization experience
  • Short Term Insurance Claims Experience (minimum 8 years)
  • Data analytics experience
  • Financial reporting experience
  • MS Office and Google experience
  • Excel advanced

Educational Requirements:


  • Matric
  • DATA qualification and / financial qualification
