Job Advert Summary:


Lead the design of innovative organisational development projects, programmes and implement strategic learning solutions for the various common Group learning objectives (leadership, onboarding, Group wide competencies and compliance).

Focus on building capability that will enable and promote the delivery of the Group strategy, build learning capabilities for a future fit organisation through digital enablement and a comprehensive universal skills gap analysis; working closely with Talent Management to realise the full potential of the talent in the organisation.

Draft learning policies to regulate learning and development across each BU. Ensure all learning solutions are aligned with the overall Hollard Learning & Talent strategy.

Lead and promote embedding a learning culture by animating industry best practice, ensuring return on investment and building a skills-based workforce.

Provide thought leadership and guidance to Hollardites, Group Business leadership and Human Capital Advisors regarding learning strategy and solutions that will enable a future fit talent within a high performance culture.


Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • 5+ years' experience managing a Learning function
  • Insurance industry experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy a Group wide Learning Group Strategy for each general and leadership capabilities.
  • Provide strategic input to the Group Exco and BU People Strategy.
  • Develop and deploy Group and BU/Functional Induction Programme, Competency Framework and fitforpurpose career progression solutions.
  • Learning Plans developed/implemented/measured to Business Strategic Objectives and Imperatives.
  • Provide input and support Group Talent Management for group wide leadership pipeline.
  • Meet all regulatory requirements and assist with compliance (i.e TCF and accreditation training, BN194 etc).
  • Critical skills defined and learning plans agreed with Business and HR Business Partner
  • Define Business benefit per programme for each BU intervention to demonstrate/measure business value (ROI).
  • Learning Dashboard (reporting) agreed and deployed in respective capabilities across the group.
  • Learning budget and management of the training spend scorecard.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Group Senior Management to execute initiatives to assist competence in our Partners.
  • Drive technology to develop and acquire state of the art and cost saving learning initiatives.
  • Draft learning policies for Hollard Group
  • Engage with Group Exco and BU leadership on learning plans, monitoring and execution against targets and plans

Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Learning & Development (or equivalent). Post graduate degree highly advantageous
  • EDTP Professional Qualification
