Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or variances.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and improve accounting processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Assist with external audits and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with Sage Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Assist with operational and administrative tasks
  • Good critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Dynamic, selfmotivated, takes responsibility and ownership of tasks

Experience:

Senior Bookkeeping: 2 years (required)
