Job Purpose
Responsible for assisting the Growthpoint Investment Partners ("GIP") team in the day to day running of the existing investment platforms (Healthcare REIT and Student REIT) and those that are in the conceptual stage.
Growthpoint Properties, Head office, The Place, 1 Sandton Drive, Sandton.
Reporting Manager
The Analyst reports to the Head Growthpoint Investment Partners.

Duties and responsibilities
Deal Origination and Execution
- Assist the Fund Managers in the preparation and presentation of investment appraisal reports (this may entail PowerPoint presentations, market research for specific transactions/deals, collection of data to be used in the financial models, desktop valuations, etc.)
- Assist the Fund Managers in performing due diligence on potential investments.
- Assist the Fund Managers in the preparation of quarterly investor reports including Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") reports.
- Assist the Fund Managers and the Head of GIP in the preparation of adhoc reports requested by various stakeholders.
- Assist the Fund Managers in vetting the accuracy of information contained in the monthly investor statements.
- Assist the Head of GIP and the Head of Fund Raising in preparing pitch documents for prospective investors.
- Assist the Head of Fund Raising in the compilation of investor due diligence questionnaires.
- Assist the Head of Fund Raising in conducting research on potential investors (investments mandates of potential investors, asset allocation to unlisted property, etc.)
- Prepare and update Pipeline Reports for each platform under GIP.
- Prepare information requested by auditors and investors for audit proposes.
- Ensure that all critical information (legal agreements, financial models, investment appraisals) is filed adequately on the shared drive.
- Coordinate diaries for the scheduling of internal investment related and operational meetings.
- Ensure the timely processing of invoices of various service providers.
The successful incumbent will have:
- BCom degree in Finance/investments/BSc Property Studies/BSc Quantity Surveying.
- 13 years' experience in investment and/or property asset management and/or property development management and/or accounting (with proven experience of financial reporting or auditing of property investment companies)
- Good presentation skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good numerical skills and the ability to analyse data
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
- Selfstarter
- Team player
