Our client is looking to engage the services of a Sales Manager


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


Matric + Tertiary qualifications in Chemical engineering or Metallurgy

Critical Knowledge:


  • The role requires a high focus on sales, building partnerships, managing relationships, motivating others, and delivering targets.

Critical Skills:


  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Effective communicator, welldeveloped skills of persuasion.
  • Resilient to pressure Critical Experience:
  • Good understanding of the business, sales Management, key account management, the market, and how to add customer value.
  • Practical experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
  • Sound business acumen and negotiating ability.
  • Broad technical knowhow of mining chemicals such as
    Sodium Cyanide, flocculants, led Nitrate etc

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Sales and Business development
  • Develop and direct regional sales strategies consistent with overall marketing and sales strategy.
  • Develop Market Information, Budgets, Forecasts, Business Planning, Partnership Agreements
  • Identify, define, establish, and maintain influential relationships with relevant institutes and key crop value opinion leaders.
  • Focus resources on mining clients and key influencers in the business
- create pull approaches.

  • Build relationships in valuechain (identify the lead influencers).
  • Identify key market opportunities and threats.
  • Support clients with technical solutions on all aspects of the usage of chemicals.
  • Investigate and manage complaints/claims to minimize financial loss (first line of contact for the company).
  • Develop the competence, motivation, and commitment of Dealers and Agents through effective training, promotion, and sales support aids.
  • Keep abreast of market, trade, and competitor activity in order to revise strategies to meet changing requirements.
