A boutique Financial Services company in Pretoria, boasting a seasoned team of experts with 100+ years of combined unmatched expertise in forex, interest rate, and commodity risk management, is seeking a dynamic IT Systems Manager to join their team.


Key Responsibilities:
In this new position reporting to the CIO, the IT Systems Manager will be responsible for high-level technical solutions, support, systems operations, and continuous development in the scope of Information Technology services


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring daily operational effectiveness.
  • Maintaining operational Business-Critical Systems for endusers.
  • Managing connectivity to banks and client systems.
  • Updating security on mobile and endpoint devices.
  • Configuring and assisting with Treasury Management System implementations.
  • Maintaining availability of the server environment.
  • Providing access to internal and external network resources.
  • Raising awareness in Cyber Security and providing training to team members.
  • Compiling IT policies aligned with company requirements.
  • Strictly controlling User Access Control and limiting privileged access.
  • Offering technical assistance on Finance and Payroll software.
  • Troubleshooting escalated workstation issues.

Knowledge Required:


  • Azure Cloud environments.
  • Enterprise Server environments.
  • API Security and Connectivity.
  • Knowledge of IT Controls such as ISO2700
  • Google Workspace Enterprise or Microsoft 365 environments.
  • SFTP.
  • Endpoint and Mobile Device Management.

Skills Required:


  • Managed File Transfer (MFT) Systems.
  • Knowledge of API Gateways and security.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace Environment or Microsoft 36
  • VoIP, WAN, Wi-Fi, and LAN networking experience.
  • Networking Protocols: FTP, SFTP, DNS, and RDP.
  • Setting up Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, SQL Server, Internet Information Services, and VDI Solutions.
  • Authentication & Authorization standards such as SAML, MFA, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Cloud Environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Cyber Security and understanding the "Human Firewall."
  • Network Firewalls.
  • Endpoint Security Software.
  • Mobile Device Management.
  • IT Controls such as ISO2700
  • SOC 1 /
  • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Relevant Industry Certification.
  • 5+ years of Experience in Enterprise ICT Environments.
  • General IT Management skills (both hardware and software).
  • Experience in Treasury Management Systems / Financial Systems / ERP implementation.
