About the Role:
A challenging opportunity awaits a competent
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER to ensure compliance with HR Strategies, Plans, Policies, and Practices. The main purpose of the role is to support the
HR Manager to achieve people development strategies and plans in support of our overall business strategies. To deliver a cost effective and efficient HR service that adds value to the overall efficiency of the
business with special emphasis on:
- Talent Management
- Human Resources Compliance and HR Governance
- Legal Audits
- Health and Safety
- Industrial Relations
- Training and Skills Development
- Employment Equity / BBBEE initiatives
- Performance Management
- Sound HR Administrative Procedures, payroll support, and payroll input and maintenance.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the HR Manager with the implementation of HR strategies.
- Manage and facilitate employee relations issues, ensuring the correct execution of disciplinary, grievance, and consultation procedures and sound advice to Line Management and employees in compliance with relevant legislation. Represent the company at CCMA.
- Manage Recruitment and Selection processes, assisting management with selection decisions and effectively managing partner relationships.
- To support performance management interventions within the business, including performance reviews, performance coaching, counseling, and advising line managers and employees throughout.
- To support talent management and succession planning, making recommendations to address the business's current and future needs.
- Identify training needs and suitable learning interventions.
- Oversee daytoday remuneration issues, acts as an HR Hub ensuring all information are submitted through to payroll timeously in respect to new appointments, salary increases, terminations, etc. Responsible for timeous submission of employee documents to payroll every month.
- Responsible for onboarding, including induction and orientation programs.
- Provide accurate and timeous HR Management information and reports as required.
- Ensure an effective HR Support Service is delivered to the region that meets the requirements of the business by constantly reviewing processes and practices and obtaining feedback from the business.
- To provide support with compiling the Employment Equity Report/Plan and ATR/WSP.
- To support the implementation of BBBEE initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- HR/Industrial Psychology Degree
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Generalist HR capacity
- Experience in an FMCG/Retail environment is essential with a good track record
