Financial Service Audit Manager

Position Title :
Manager External Audit

Main purpose of the job

To effectively manage a portfolio of financial service audit clients, ensuring that the audits are

completed in time, within budget and to client satisfaction, through effective and efficient people

and other resources management.


Minimum requirements

Knowledge

  • Matric
  • CA (SA)
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge
  • Keeping abreast of legislation changes

Experience
years working experience in a similar type industry - Experience in managing and co-ordinating audit teams of various sizes


Key responsibilities

  • Effectively plan, control and execute audits within delegated area of responsibility
  • Effectively manage audit teams; setting goals and providing direction Involved in
steering/audit committees - Provide regular feedback to audit management/partner - Review audit working papers, compile written reports and present findings to audit

management - Maintain effective ongoing communication with relevant parties - Manage all administration aspects of the audit with efficiency and accuracy Manage the

proper and effective utilisation of all staff members on the audit Establish and manage client relations

  • Address and respond to issues relating to the audit
  • Finalisation of audits; completion of management letter and audit reports Ability to
discuss contents of the management letter with the client Demonstrate strong technical knowledge

  • Provide on the job training and coaching to audit teams; identify gaps and address weaknesses
  • Completion and evaluation of performance appraisals
