    Description

    RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a friendly and organized Custom Entry Clerk to join our client's logistics team in Cape Town. As a Custom Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for handling import and export customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the smooth flow of goods.

    With your expertise in customs procedures and attention to detail, you will play a key role in supporting efficient and timely transportation of goods.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and submit customs documentation for import and export shipments
    • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and requirements
    • Communicate with customs officials and agents to resolve any issues or delays
    • Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to gather necessary information for customs clearance
    • Advise clients on customs rules and regulations, as well as any duty and tax implications
    • Maintain accurate records of customs activities and documentation

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Custom Entry Clerk or in a similar role
    • Sound knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulations
    • Proficient in using customs software and relevant computer applications
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Relevant certification or qualification in customs procedures or logistics is advantageous
