Description

Delivering value from data by interpreting data and providing insights into products and services; to create and evaluate business opportunities through the analysis of internal and external data and engage with others to drive efficiencies (in processes and products) through data.


Responsibilities:


  • System Improvement (SI) Delivery
  • Has a clear understanding of the Business requirements of the process or product in order to get value from the data
  • Will create specs for PIT and work with PIT to ensure the correct tables and views are designed to use the data efficiently
  • Ensures the correct processes are implemented to provide accurate data, within the agreed timelines
  • Support of Existing Processes & New Systems Improvement Projects
  • Developing Reports & Dashboards and Conducting Descriptive Analysis
  • Weekly & Monthly reporting as required (incl. the automation of it if possible)
  • Respond to Ad Hoc report requests
  • Design & Creation of Dashboards as per Business Requirements
  • Deliver insights to the business (descriptive analytics)
  • Fully understands Ad Hoc Requests from business for analysis to be able to deliver insights that enable business to drive value and efficiencies
  • Present analysis and recommendations to various role players (e.g. Exco or user)
  • Enable Predictive and Prescriptive Modelling Projects
  • Formulates the business problem and creates the requirements in conjunction with the business owners
  • Develops project guidelines (including key players, resources required and timelines)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years analyst experience, preferably in a financial services, logistics or ecommerce environment with a focus on delivering insights.
  • Retail experience will be an advantage
  • Above average computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Google Workspace)
  • Understanding of statistics will be an advantage
  • Basic Big Query SQL
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleaning, data enrichment and visualisation techniques
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools (eg Data Studio, Tableau) will be an advantage
  • Comfortable working and presenting to all, across the organisation
  • Analytical mindset and good problemsolving skills.

  • Provide insights into data analysed
  • Able to develop ideas and share them clearly (in nontechnical terms when required)
