Job Objective:

The warehouse assistant will
oversee the warehouse stocks and products. Their primary responsibilities include receiving and sending products from the warehouse. They move materials and inventory across the facilities. It's their job to sort, organize, and keep stock in the right location.


Key Responsibilities - but not limited to:

  • Assist the warehouse manager to establish and improve the warehouse system.
  • Make a daily work plan according to the duties of each employee in the warehouse.
  • Co-ordinating sales plans and customer pick up plans with sales and arrange warehouse staff to prepare goods.
  • Sampling and checking the quantity of products every week
  • Establish warehouse safety, sanitation and 5S working systems
  • Conduct stock takes on all items in the warehouse from time to time
  • Ensure prompt communication with clients, vendors, and transport firms as needed
  • Make recommendations for enhancing productivity
  • Make sure internal delivery procedures are followed
  • Help to receive, unload, count, and stock physical items at the warehouse
  • Any and all other ADHOC duties

Job Requirements:


1.
Qualifications and Experience
Matric

At least one year experience in the same role

A Forklift license would be an advantage

Experience in the manufacturing industry will be an advantage


2.
Knowledge and Skills
Effective communication skills

Attention to detail

Organising skills

Good co-ordination skills


Salary:
R7, R7,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
