    Position: Senior Tax Accountant

    Company:
    A prominent organization located in Durban is seeking a proficient Tax Accountant to join their dynamic financial team.

    Responsibilities:

      • Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
      • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations.
      • Provide tax planning advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities.
      • Assist clients with audits and tax inquiries from government agencies.
      • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
      • Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
      • Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and opportunities.
      • Recommend tax-efficient investment strategies.
      • Collaborate with other professionals, such as lawyers and financial advisors, to provide comprehensive financial services.
      • Conduct research on complex tax issues.
      • Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax-related matters in a clear and understandable manner.
      • Help clients resolve tax disputes and negotiate settlements with tax authorities.
      • Assist with financial planning and budgeting to achieve long-term financial goals.
      • Provide guidance on estate planning and wealth preservation strategies.
      • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in tax accounting.
      • Participate in professional development activities to maintain certifications and licenses.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Degree.
    • Completed professional articles (AGA, SAIPA, SAICA, SAIBA, CIMA).
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
