The Strategic Fuel Fund Association (SFF), a subsidiary of the Central Energy Fund (CEF), manages crude oil storage facilities in the Western Cape, and environmental protection against oil pollution.

SFF currently seeks to employ a 2 X PROCESS CONTROLLER at OPC Saldanha, Cape Town.


Responsibilities

  • Safe storage and distribution of petrochemical products
  • Operate the terminal equipment within safe limits.
  • Prioritize and synchronies operational activities.
  • Operate the terminal without causing any product contamination and product losses.
  • Operate the terminal without causing any environmental harm or damage.
  • Routine inspection and data collection
  • Identify and report defects.
  • Identify and report risks behaviors and take correct action.
  • Participate in incident /accident prevention report.
  • Clean plant/ensure the plant is cleaned and housekeeping is up to standard.
  • Perform effective shift handover and ensure the transition of work from your own shift to the next shift.
  • Performing gas tests for different areas of the terminal
  • Ensure all compliance and HSE controls are met within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 With Mathematics and Science
  • Having a degree or Diploma will be an advantage.
  • Two Years working experience in a Chemical/petrochemical environment.
  • Competent in working in a petrochemical tank farm.
  • Must be able to work in heights.
  • Must be able to enter/work in confined spaces.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Valid EB driver's license
