VACANCY

Safety Officer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

❑ Inspecting the entire company, ensuring employees comply with safety regulations and company policies, monitoring and reporting in the workplace.

Duties:

❑ Standardize health and safety in the workplace to remain consistent.

❑ Identify hazardous waste and disposing correctly.

❑ Promote safety initiatives.

❑ Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures.

❑ Conduct equipment inspection to ensure they are correctly installed and operational.

❑ Attend and reporting any incidents.

❑ Conduct regular staff safety meeting to share best practice and techniques.

❑ Compile safety programs and trainings.

❑ Document of information and report compiled for management.

❑ Establish a professional relationship with employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

❑ A bachelor's degree or an associate degree

❑ Must be registered with SACPCMP

❑ Driver's License - Minimum Code 10 (PDP).

❑ Proven experience three years above

❑ Registration as a Safety and Health officer.

❑ Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and safety Act.

❑ Communication skills and negotiation skills.

❑ Excellent computer skills (MS word and MS Excel).

❑ Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts.

❑ Be physically and mentally fit.
