R TCTC) per month


Our client wishes to appoint an HR Officer - Remuneration and Benefits, who will assume responsibility of handling remuneration, benefits and compensation.

The incumbent will manage the payroll and provide administrative support functions of the Human Resources Department. The position is based in Durban.


Requirements:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management
  • A minimum of five years working with payroll management and capacity, using SAGE People 300
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in human resources working with compensation, benefits and remuneration
  • Solid knowledge and experience of leave management using the ESS system
  • Knowledge of HR software is a strong requirement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Report writing skills
  • A valid driver's license

Key Responsibilities:


  • Undertake benchmarking exercises and assignments in remuneration and benefits practices, job evaluation and annual salary reviews
  • Maintain and update the electronic staff database and physical staff files
  • Manage payroll and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Reconcile and review payrolls, audits and ensure payroll metrics and reporting are done
  • Assist with the submissions of Emp201, Emp501 and annual COIDA
  • Pay external service providers, including agencies
  • Administer and manage of leave using the SAGE People 300 and ESS HR software
  • Support the audit and compliance function
  • Provide and update both management and staff on organisation benefits, policies and procedures
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of all new staff contracts and renewals
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices.
