ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and report to the Collections Manager on the performance of the panel attorneys.
  • Ensure achievement of collection targets and strategies within the outsourced department of PSTS, for each panel attorney.
  • Ensure attorneys adhere to provisions of their Service Level Agreements.
  • Assist with the development of new collection strategies.
  • Oversee and assist with the development of legal documentation and templates.
  • Remain abreast of legal matters and regulations related to various areas of the law applicable to the debt collection industry.
  • Collect, record, analyse and organise necessary data in respect of all matters in the debtors' book, including and especially litigious matters, for all attorneys.
  • Liaise with, and take control of, attorney portfolios within the debtors' book to efficiently manage levy collection.
  • Deliberate on the outofthebox strategic thinking to solve complicated problems in levy collection environments.
  • Create spreadsheets to measure progress, record certain information required by the Collections Manager and Chief Legal Officer, and other senior management from time to time.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum requirement of a diploma in paralegal studies, or third year level working towards an LLB degree.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years working within a debt collection or legal practice environment.
  • Good knowledge of Sectional Title / Community Schemes would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with Swordfish or other debt collection software would be an advantage.

SKILLS

  • Excellent English communication skills verbal and written.
  • Selfmotivated.
  • Organised.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Efficient time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Full MS Office suite at intermediate level.

Pay:
R215 806,7- R691 249,51 per year
