Minimum Requirements


EDUCATION:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent;
  • Must speak, read, write and understand English at a professional level;
  • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)

EXPERIENCE:


  • 35 year's working experience in tourism or marketing industries;
  • Opera knowledge (or similar PMS);
  • Microsoft Suite;
  • Google apps (advantageous);
  • Meta apps (advantageous)

Responsibilities:


Product Knowledge

  • Property Knowledge of all Village N Life products and brands
  • Understanding of target audiences for different properties, brands and campaigns, with special focus on:
  • Direct promotional / seasonal offers
  • Closed groups (interest driven groups and network platforms)
  • Thirdparty platforms (Flook, Daddy's Deals, etc.)
  • VNL Leisure Club

Customer Service

  • Assist with general enquiries
  • Maintain relationships
  • Exceptional customer care and service delivery;
  • Problem solving abilities and abilities to manage customer issues;
  • Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints

Product and Offering Development

  • Support the creative thinking on development of new products and offerings;
  • Play a key role in the implementation and role out of new products and offerings, including:
  • Work with the design and web development team to create immersive campaigns;
  • Assist with compiling of task lists for implementation of new products or promotions;
  • Follow up and checkin with onsite operations teams;
  • Report back on status, problems, and suggestions;
  • Online brand audits for relevance and accuracy

Sales and Reservations

  • Promote and Sell the Village N Life products and services using upselling and suggestive selling techniques;
  • Processing of reservations (FIT, groups and events);
  • Follow ups on enquiries and leads;
  • Check and verify FIT and Group bookings;
  • Liaise with onsite operations teams;
  • Compiling quotations and invoices accurately;
  • Assist with booking of additional services, including spa treatments, restaurant reservations and golf bookings details to appear on correspondence and PMS accurately;
  • Record special billing arrangements for reservations in all business segments;
  • All reservation details: special requests, arrival times, value adds etc to appear on correspondence accurately and in PMS properties to be aware of guests special requests to meet and exceed guests expectations;
  • All Village n Life standard operating procedures and policies to be followed and adhered to

Administration

  • Maintain sales records across all marketing efforts:
  • Keeping record of success rate, revenue achieved and notes for future reference;
  • Researching, creating and maintaining proactive client lists and databases;
  • Maintain client databases:
  • Importing of manual databases
  • Creating databases through research
  • Updating databases periodically
  • Control and record keeping of related sales activities;

Reporting

  • Capture and process data to compile reports on sales, historic revenue and campaign performance, such as:
  • Weekly direct offers sales reports
  • Historical campaign efforts on demand
  • Monthly VNL Leisure Club signups
  • Monthly VNL Leisure Club revenue
  • Periodic reporting on closed group efforts
  • Weekly thirdparty platform sales reports

Marketing

  • Brainstorm marketing campaigns for all properties;
  • Create job bags for marketing and production team, providing all sales information accurately
