Media Planner/Buyer - Durban North

Hybrid work model

Full time position

Salary:
R20,000 CTC per month


An exciting opportunity has emerged in Durban's vibrant media landscape for a Media Planner/Buyer with a strong background in digital media and comprehensive knowledge across various other channels.

My client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team, contributing to brand strategies through effective planning, buying, and reporting on media campaigns.

This role involves providing valuable input and guidance on media campaigns managed by other agency partners.

Media Planning: Development and management of digital media plans, including negotiation and procurement of media.

Media Implementation and Optimization: Executing media spend schedules, tracking and optimizing against KPIs, maintaining brand spend schedules, and fostering relationships with channel representatives.

Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitoring and evaluating campaign performance, aiding in strategic campaign analysis.

Media Guidance: Conducting media format research, providing input on ad types/formats.

Training and Upskilling: Facilitating media format research and upskilling of staff, including education, understanding, and best practices.

Process Improvement: Developing and implementing processes and operational methods conducive to enhancing the growth, effectiveness, and efficiency of the digital media function.


Requirements:


  • Digital Marketing Degree/Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital media planning and buying within an agency environment
  • Google Adwords Certification and Partner Status preferred, along with Facebook Blueprint Certification and Twitter Flight School Certification
  • Proficiency in management, optimization, analysis, and reporting across various channels, including Social Media Platforms, Google Media (Display, Search, YouTube), Online Publishers, Programmatic, and a detailed understanding of nondigital media channels.
