Depot Logistics Controller Distribution / Transport / Logistics / Supply Chain ~ FMCG / Food & Bev /Agri

Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa

Reporting to the National Logistics Manager you will be responsible for managing the Durban warehouse, distribution, assets and staff.

You will be required to collaborate with Business Units, call centres, distribution, debtors and creditors to ensure smooth workflow and document control.

Knowledge/Qualification/Experience:

Relevant 3year postgraduate qualification degree or working towards one
Min 3 5 years of experience in an FMCG environment
Relevant Quality, Food Safety and Safety Systems knowledge preferred
Knowledge of cold chain supply preferred
Fluent in English, isiZulu would be beneficial
Intermediate computer literacy
Knowledge of Syspro is beneficial

Key Requirements:

Coordinate and manage the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods from the DBN warehouse
Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment in conjunction with the National Distribution Manager
Lead warehouse staff and daily activities
Manage all documentation requirements for inventory while in storage and on dispatch
Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse outputs as required
Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventories are accurate
Monitor and collate early warning quality issues
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, food safety and security in the work environment
Coordinate exports order assembly and packaging in conjunction with BU requirements
Track and monitor budget spend
Coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems where necessary
