Our client, an industry leader with exceptional expertise in creating quality cast products used in mining, railway, power and general engineering industries are looking to recruit a Sales Specialist to join their team.


Initially, you will be tasked with building your own client base from scratch, targeting pre-identified clients in sectors such as Mining and Energy (Wind Turbine manufacturers and the like).

Once a new client is secured, you will manage that account on an ongoing basis.

This is a senior role where you must have a consistent high output rate and de driven for results with a solid commercial awareness.

Your role will include processing and executing enquiries, preparing quotations and draft pricing strategies.

You will visit customers on a frequent basis and must be flexible to travel cross border (DRC and Zambia) as well as overseas if required.


You will be required to attend 3 sales meetings a week either in person in the Johannesburg office or log on virtually if your client visits require you to be away.


Requirements:

Tertiary education is ideal (NQF6) or above in a related field like Mechanical Engineering and/ or Sales & Marketing_

  • A technical sales background with at least 5 years' experience selling within a similar environment
  • Some exposure to power generation, foundry or steel industry experience is advantageous
  • You must have a proven track record in new business generation
  • Own transport and the ability to travel out of Johannesburg is a requirement

On offer

Salary:
Up to R40,000.00 per month
