Workshop Manager - Logistics Industry (Senior position)
Introduction:
A fantastic opportunity is available at a world class Liquid and Dry-Bulk Logistics services company in Sasolburg, that boasts a well-established operational footprint across Africa.
The position requires someone that:
- Has 10 or more years of experience in workshop management and control (managing ops, budgeting, and costcontrol, stockcontrol, auditing, OHS, compliance, and reporting).
- Is also a qualified diesel mechanic with knowledge and practical experience working on DAF, MAN, Mercedes and Volvo vehicles.
Conditions:
- WORKING HOURS: 07:00 17:00 Monday to Friday, and standby on every 2nd weekend
- STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
- SALARY: ± R R per annum, depending on qualifications & experience
- EXPERIENCE: 10+ Years' experience in the same specific position (mandatory for this position)
- TRAVELING: Some traveling will be required between sites
- OWN TRANSPORT: Required

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing workshop operations on a daytoday basis to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Budgeting & cost control to meet strategic goals and targets.
- Managing and maintaining workshop compliance with company policies & procedures.
- Preparing annual workshop budget.
- Performing in depth auditing and investigations.
- Managing stock integrity.
- Developing and maintaining objective focused performance measures for all individuals and functional areas of the workshop.
- Efficient stock management, control and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with company and government policies and regulations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Keeping up to date with indepth product knowledge and workshop best practises
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- 10+ years' industryspecific and positionspecific experience.
- Matric.
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
- Proven handson experience with DAF, MAN, Mercedes and Volvo.
- Additional businessorientated qualifications will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy, especially, but not limited to MS Office.
- A complete copy of your CV, outlining your relevant qualifications and work experience.
- A copy of your matric certificate.
- A copy of your Diesel Mechanic certificate.
- Name, surname and contact numbers of your references.
Salary:
R600, R840,000.00 per year
