Key Outputs

  • Drive the Services Growth Strategy for Mining
  • Regional PSM and PSSR support and training
  • CAT Support Escalations
  • BBS Aftermarket projects owner / Lead
  • Customer satisfaction through implementation of VOC
  • Product GTM Strategy Development and Deployment
  • Market research and industry trends understanding & delivery of customer requirements
  • Marketing and Sales Strategy development
  • Development and execution of the overall Aftermarket strategy
  • Key relationship maintained between Marketing, Operations and Principal Suppliers
  • Facilitate key points within the S&OP process (Forecasting, marketing intelligence, trending etc.)
  • Develop pricing strategy and grow POPS-C.
  • Solution development for Mining customers
  • Market current and new products to potential Southern African customers
  • Negotiate special pricing on mining, parts, marketing strategies and after sales incentive schemes with Caterpillar.
  • Manage NPI process for product support
  • Review price disconnects to negotiate acceptable premiums and assist with closing deals
  • Big deals lead and opportunity closure, lost sales insights
  • Effective selfmanagement and performance ownership.
  • Market analysis and Segmentation of Product Solution Offerings
  • Regional deep dives: action items, identify gaps by region or territory, and assist with execution of actions

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

  • Engineering qualification (NQF L6 and above) / Advanced Caterpillarcertified earthmoving technician
  • Additional Marketing/ Commercial qualification (advantageous)
  • Product Support or Sales experience

Minimum required experience:


  • Minimum of 5 Years' experience in the equipment sales / management environment with solid product knowledge
