- Develop and implement the overall logistics strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and support their logistical needs.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, Road Freight and Sea Freight Management, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution. Cross border management.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional logistics team, providing direction and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and facilitate professional development.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize logistics expenses.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other partners.
- Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions to enhance efficiency and visibility within the supply chain.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing logistics operations.
- Mitigate risks by implementing robust security and contingency plans.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess and report on the performance of logistics operations.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any issues affecting logistics performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience 10 years in logistics management, with a track record of successful leadership.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
