Job Purpose

  • The purpose of this role is to manage the Brand Marketing and Trade Execution initiatives for the company brand nationally to efficiently and effectively ensure a consistent and brand aligned customer and consumer experience.
  • This includes both formal and informal trading environments for both the top end and bottom ends of the market across different income segments.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

General

  • Brand custodianship own the brand in its entirety Live and breathe the company brand daily.
  • Tell the story develop relevant presentations and information updates for Exco, Sales and the broader organisation as required
    Strategic Deliverables
  • Brand planning develop the annual brand plan for company including the framework for growth
  • Brand positioning develop a clear, differentiated and ownable positioning territory for company that sets it apart from its competitors as well as company local heroes. Must challenge the market leader
  • New product development develop a rolling 1224month innovation funnel.
  • Manage the NPD process from ideation and development through to launch and instore execution.
  • Insight management manage research from brief to execution and analysis thereof. Continually look for key consumer and trader insights that will unlock growth for company

Operational Deliverables

  • Budget management plan and manage the allocated marketing budget on a monthly and annualised basis and always be on top of the numbers (CE's through to payment)
  • Abovetheline advertising campaign development and management from brief through to execution including digital & social media
  • Social media manage the monthly content calendar as well as the "always on" strategy including relevant content creation and community management across the various social media platforms
  • Belowtheline tactical campaign development and management from brief through to execution. This includes trade campaigns to support channel and sales initiatives as required.
  • Point of sale material manage process from artwork initiation and supplier management through to final delivery in regions
  • Store signage manage all signage requests from brief through to store execution
  • Cooler branding & monitoring work with national asset manager to ensure cooler branding looks optimal and placement of coolers is executed with sales per annual budget allocation operational Deliverables

Manage Trade Execution Activities

  • Work closely with Sales and Key Account teams to ensure alignment and capitalise on growth opportunities
  • Ensure company receives its fair share of broadsheet activity monitor monthly
  • Regularly check PIES is executed correctly in the trade on company
  • Contribute to strategic direction on trade investment and execution by pack and channel
  • Ensure the creation of appropriate point of sale material that aligns to pack and channel strategies
  • Contribute to defining guidelines around appropriate intrade promotional activities
  • Help develop the look of success for intrade execution guardrails by pack and channel
  • Manage general and account specific campaign

Manage Marketing Buying

  • Ensure that the relevant guidelines and controls are in place
  • Work closely with procurement to optimise expenditure
  • Manage buying to ensure alignment with requirements

Contribute Towards Business Development

  • Support with and collaborate on the implementation of Business Development initiatives
  • Interpret sales and customer analytics and provide relevant sales and customer insights updates
  • Ensure product knowledge of the full portfolio across the organ
