Purpose of the Job:

What you've done before:

NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Operations/ Logistics/ Purchasing)
3 years' experience in Raw Materials Planning & Analyses within the Manufacturing/ Production environment
Exposure and understanding of Operations/ Production within the field.
SAP experience (Inventory/Stock Control/Purchasing)


ADVANTAGEOUS
Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Operations/ Logistics/ Purchasing
Experience in Petrochemicals or FMCG
Core knowledge - material planning best practices & Inventory management(Raw material)


What you'll be doing:


  • Generate Additive and Base oil Forecast weekly by material/plant combination and check for changes in net requirements daily.
  • Create a monthly Base Oil Movements plan that caters to internal tank movements, plant to plant movements and ship discharges.
  • Generate additive and base oil tank maintenance plan.
  • Support Production Schedule with arranging haulers and ensure adequate raw material (baseoil & additives) to satisfy plan timeously.
  • Plan bulk transport for base oil and additives.
  • Prepare additive consumption report for consignment additives monthly for procurement approval.
  • Manage imported additives monthly wrt stock on land, water and on order versus inventory and consumption.
  • Monitor material off take and develop concerns with Master Planner/Planning Manager with increase/decrease in consumption
  • Generate annual tankage plan for maintenance.
