- Fixed asset register maintenance and wear-and-tear allowance calculations
- COID Return of Earning calculation and preparation
- SARS verifications/audits/queries
- Management of allocated client portfolios and relationships
- Calculation of provisional taxes
- Preparation of Formal and Standard management report
- Analytical procedures and understanding of purpose and results
- Preparation of Financial Statement Compilations
- Preparation of Independent Review procedures and engagements of Financial Statements
- Client queries and collaboration with related departments/seniors
- Review work relating to trainee accountants
- Support and provide basic accounting training to trainee accountants
- Submission/filing of VAT and EMP returns
- Preparation and filing of EMP reconciliations and IRP5 Certificates
- Submission of COIDA Return of Earnings
- Review of financial statement compilations
- Review of independent Review engagements
- Presentation of management report to senior management (clients)
- Review, send and follow-up on client fee proposals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members
- Continuously be on the look-out for innovative opportunities to improve on efficiency, quality and service delivery Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 10 Years experience in bookkeeping
- Experience in reporting and reconciling in group of companies
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Xero Accounting
- Xero Certified Advisor Certificate (advantageous)
- IFRS for SME's (advantageous)
- VAT Act
- Companies Act
- Understanding of COID and UIF compliance requirements and processes with the Department of Labour
- Experience with SARS processes and collaboration
- Advanced Excel skills and experience
- Compilation Engagements (advantageous)
- CaseWare Working Papers experience (advantageous)
- Strong integrity principals and application
