Purpose of the job:
To support the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of Warehousing and Logistics


Experiential and Educational requirements:

  • Must have 58 Years warehousing and logistics experience
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Project Management (Advantageous)
  • Business and Financial Acumen (Advantageous)
  • Computer Literacy, MS Office (intermediate to advanced), SAP WMS

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of inventory and logistic processes in line with the Company and Customer
  • Manage the quarterly stock count for customers
  • Investigate stock count variances, identify and countermeasure to prevent reoccurrence
  • Analysis of the warehouse management system and performance vs team performance
  • Manage and document standard operating procedures for all processes
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Management of team in line with the Company's expectations
  • Daily tracking and reporting of team progress in line with Company expectation
  • Management of team's training and development and provide overall leadership and guidance
  • Overall management in line with best practices
Quality - TQM, full responsibility, and accountability

  • Safety
  • Full responsibility and accountability
  • Manage teams HR/IR matters and initiate disciplinary action when necessary
  • Bi-Weekly communication with Sale PIC to determine container priority from offsite warehouse
  • Manage ECI part process in line with departmental process
  • Manage Team Quarterly Kaizen Presentations in line with departmental process
  • Manage FIFO and Aged stock as per departmental expectations.
