Purpose of the job:
To support the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of Warehousing and Logistics
Experiential and Educational requirements:
- Must have 58 Years warehousing and logistics experience
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Project Management (Advantageous)
- Business and Financial Acumen (Advantageous)
- Computer Literacy, MS Office (intermediate to advanced), SAP WMS
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Management of inventory and logistic processes in line with the Company and Customer
- Manage the quarterly stock count for customers
- Investigate stock count variances, identify and countermeasure to prevent reoccurrence
- Analysis of the warehouse management system and performance vs team performance
- Manage and document standard operating procedures for all processes
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Management of team in line with the Company's expectations
- Daily tracking and reporting of team progress in line with Company expectation
- Management of team's training and development and provide overall leadership and guidance
- Overall management in line with best practices
- Safety
- Full responsibility and accountability
- Manage teams HR/IR matters and initiate disciplinary action when necessary
- Bi-Weekly communication with Sale PIC to determine container priority from offsite warehouse
- Manage ECI part process in line with departmental process
- Manage Team Quarterly Kaizen Presentations in line with departmental process
- Manage FIFO and Aged stock as per departmental expectations.
