An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Entries Team Leader to join the Clearing & Forwarding team based in Durban.

Purpose of the job:
Supervising the daily operations of the Clearing & Forwarding entries team and ensure effective handling of documentation.

Experiential and Educational requirements:

Grade 12/ Matric
Customs Courses
Custom procedures and practices

Computer Literacy

MS Office
CargoWise system experience
Minimum 5 years Entries experience
23 years Entries Supervisory / Team Leader experience

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Oversee & control the full Entries function of the C&F team (Sea, Air, Import, Export)
Accurate and Timeous Framing of all clearances prior to ETA
Entry Clerk supervision, guidance and support
Financial reporting
Allocation of clearances to entry clerks and monitor completion (Road, Sea and Air Freight) prior to ETA date
Liaise with customers and shipping lines to always ensure effective communication
Fulfill all obligations with SARS
Liaise with internal and external customers and shipping lines to always ensure effective communication
Liaise with SARS on all clearance matters
Evaluate charges and arrange payment when required
Complete all applicable Clearing and Forwarding documentation
Fulfil bill of lading obligations
Submit accurate duty drawbacks
Handle exports
Ensure weekly supplier payments are processed
Prepare monthly deferment report
Perform any adhoc duties or projects as requested by management
