Foreman: Property Services - Stellenbosch, South Africa - Stellenbosch University
Description
Duties/Pligte- Liaising and coordinating all work with clients, contractors and other internal stakeholders by preparing quotation documents and estimates, calling for quotations, placing orders, making payments, as well as keeping complete records;
- Relationship management, including the promotion and maintenance of good working relationships and partnerships with internal clients and contractors, as well as promoting the image of Facilities Management both inside and outside the University;
- Performing maintenance, including inspections, recommendations and corrective actions.
- A qualification in either the building environment or as handyman;
- At least seven years' relevant experience in a supervisory role;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Proven communication skills;
- Good leadership qualities; An aboveaverage ability to promote and maintain good human relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders;
- The ability to motivate colleagues, to offer advice, provide leadership and inspire them to provide better service delivery;
- The ability to function within a team;
- Experience in asset management and maintaining the software systems;
- A valid Code B driver's licence.
